How to check your KNEC TVET results

According to KNEC, respective colleges can always collect the results printout from KNEC South C offices upon being released.

The results are to be collected by the heads of the TVET Institutions. And for the candidates to easily confirm their results they are urged visit the school to confirm their results.

Before the year 2020, this examinations were always offered to candidates twice a year in the month of July and November series.

However, from the year 2020 KNEC rescheduled the examination to March series and July series phasing out November series.

The results can be collected from Mitihani house, South C Offices on weekdays from Monday to Friday during official working hours, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Candidates who sit for KNEC business and technical examinations exam series can easily get their results from their respective examination centres.

Each of the institutions that enter candidates for the KNEC examinations shall receive a hard copy of the institution’s examination results printout and result slips which captures the following information:

1. Institution’s Code and Name

This appears on the top left side of the printout.  The institution’s code is a unique number by which an examination centre is identified by the Council.  This is the number that an institution should always quote whenever communicating with KNEC.

2. Candidates Details

Below the institution’s name and code are details of the candidates.  These details include the index number of the candidate, year of examination, gender, individual subject grades and the mean grade.

KNEC Exam Registration

As soon as the KNEC examination is released, KNEC always opens a portal for exam registration. The portal shows the exam fees which varies depending on the course.

The registration details are further offered by the schools and TVET institution on how to apply and requirements for the exam registration.

NOTE:

Registration dates are offered by KNEC and the respective institutions. These dates have to be adhered to as extension of the periods of registration is very unlikely.

If you miss out on registration one will have to wait for another exam period.

KNEC Referral Papers

KNEC offers also the registration for referral papers for the candidates who receive their results and were referred in one or two papers.

These set of students only register and pay for only the referred papers. In case of a FAIL a candidate will have to re-sit the whole papers thus paying all examination fee.
