What is the KUCCPS Student Portal?

The KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.net is the official online platform of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). It is where all Form Four leavers and KCSE candidates apply for placement into universities, TVET colleges, KMTC, and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) in Kenya.

KUCCPS was established under the Universities Act of 2012 to coordinate fair and transparent placement of students into Kenya’s higher education institutions. The portal handles applications from over 200,000 students each application cycle and connects them to 40 public universities, 29 private universities, 263 public colleges, and numerous TVET institutions across Kenya.

Services Available on the KUCCPS Student Portal

Common Issues & Fixes

  • Portal not loading: High traffic during application periods slows the portal. Try early morning access or off-peak hours.
  • Index number not recognized: Confirm you are using the exact KCSE index number format (e.g., 12345678001/2024). Contact KNEC if your index is not found.
  • Payment not confirming: Some MPESA payments experience delays. Wait 2–3 hours before trying again. If unresolved, contact KUCCPS support.
  • Course choice not saving: Ensure you are within the active application window and that your internet connection is stable before submitting.
  • Placement not showing: Placement results are released in batches. Check the KUCCPS website for the official results announcement date.
