What is the KUCCPS Student Portal?

The KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.net is the official online platform of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). It is where all Form Four leavers and KCSE candidates apply for placement into universities, TVET colleges, KMTC, and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) in Kenya.

KUCCPS was established under the Universities Act of 2012 to coordinate fair and transparent placement of students into Kenya’s higher education institutions. How to Apply Through KUCCPS (Step by Step)

1. Visit students.kuccps.net and click “Login”.
2. Enter your KCSE Index Number and KCSE examination year.
3. Use your default password — for most applicants this is your KCPE index number or birth certificate number used during KCSE registration.
4. After logging in, navigate to “Apply for Courses” and select the relevant application type (Degree, TVET, KMTC, TTC).
5. Browse available programmes using the course search tool. Filter by name, institution, or qualification level.
6. Select up to 6 degree or 4 diploma choices and rank them in order of preference.
7. Pay the application fee via MPESA using the KUCCPS paybill number and your index number as account number.
8. Submit your application and note the confirmation number.

2. Enter your KCSE Index Number in the first field.
3. Enter your KCSE Examination Year.

Forgot Password – Reset KUCCPS Portal Password

2. Enter your KCSE Index Number and examination year.

5. Log in with the updated password.
